Illustration for my novel "Thanatos, The Reefs".
This image is done with "BRYCE" from MetaCreation.
The woman is an 3DMF import from Poser of MetaCreation. .
The computer graphic has been realized on a "PowerMac4400/200", with 112 Mega memory.
"Bryce" is also a very easy to use 3D software, and it is very powerful for his VERY "low cost" price.
The renders are a little slow, but a very strong realism with water, sky, landscapes. The best software to obtain realistic textures of ground, mountains, islands, rocks...
A very good software
And enough powerful to use for current 3D commercials or broadcast works.
With Poser, Bryce and Infini-D, I think that, the beginner in computer Graphics on Macintosh (like me), have a very good palette to make nice images and animation quickly, without spending too much money and too much time to learn how to use them.
(around 1000$ the three softs in 1998) see MetaCreation.
